The Miami Marlins acquired reliever Fernando Rodney from San Diego?for right-handed pitcher Chris Paddack, Padres general manager A.J. Preller announced Thursday.Rodney, 39, has an 0.31 ERA and 17 saves in 28 appearances with the Padres this season. He has 253 career saves, the bulk of them coming with the Tampa Bay Rays, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners.The Marlins, at 41-37, currently have possession of the National Leagues second wild-card spot. Rodney adds depth to a bullpen thats 14-15 with a 3.78 ERA, sixth best in the National League. A.J.
